Kinesiology: A Wonderful Healing Art
Dr George Goodheart, an American chiropractor,
first used the word 'Applied Kinesiology' to denote the system of applying
muscle testing to both diagnose and treat health disorders.
The same method can identify factors which may be contributing to such imbalances. The body's natural healing responses are stimulated by attention to reflex and acupressure points, and by use of specific body movements and well-being. Kinesiology, as a therapeutic tool, is highly effective, gentle and non-invasive, it is completely devoid of iatrogenicity; apart from that, is very affordable, and can be classified among those therapeutic tools whose wonderful results are usually unbelievable when first mentioned to those who have never experienced it. The great beauty of kinesiology is that it finds healing applications in a wide variety of health disorders, both physical and non-physical. Kinesiology is not only a tool for healing, it is also a tool for self- actualization and goals-realization. This is not surprising in view of the fact that these pursuits rely on life-energy. Many world-class athletes and sportsmen and sportswomen who have been fortunate to have kinesiology balancing before their events went on to break their own records. In business and academic life, kinesiology is finding increased application in maximizing potentials, stress management, and enhanced learning. We're not surprised that in its short years as a healing modality more and more people are turning to it either as an adjunct to other therapies or as a stand-alone health discipline.
